The Lie Behind Victimless Crimes

The phrase “victimless crimes” is a code term used by the advocates of a false, satanic philosophy. What they mean when they use the phrase is “sin” or “transgression against the Law of God,” or in other words those prohibited behaviors which the Book of Mormon and other scriptures clearly identify as behaviors that bring down whole civilizations if widely accepted by a majority. There is no such thing as a “victimless crime.” Such behaviors have many victims. They destroy the communities in which they occur and inevitably lead to such obvious crimes against victims as murder, all manner of stealing, all manner of dishonesty and fraud, sexual assaults of all kinds including rape and sexual child abuse, immoral invasions of other countries, corrupt government, and the whole gamut of social problems that rot out a nation at its very core.

The concept of a “victimless crime” is a fraud. There is no such thing. Anyone who actually believes the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, would recognize that fraud for what it is. It is a philosophy promoted by the Great Deceiver, the Father of Lies.

People have to live righteous lives and restrain their immoral impulses and resulting behaviors or they cannot be governed by law. And people who cannot be governed by law are always governed by the most powerful predators and tyrants in their midst. Human freedom becomes extinct, and unspeakable horror is the inevitable result. It has been happening over and over since the world began. The Book of Mormon clearly teaches this for those who have ears to hear or eyes to see. Those who cannot learn this from the Book of Mormon either have not read it, or they do not understand it or believe it.

How great is the darkness of a once enlightened mind when it has turned away from the light! It is a terrifying thing to behold.

11 Yea, and then shall they see wars and pestilences, yea, famines and bloodshed, even until the people of Nephi shall become extinct.12 Yea, and this because they shall dwindle in unbelief and fall into the works of darkness, and lasciviousness, and all manner of iniquities; yea, I say unto you, that because they shall sin against so great light and knowledge, yea, I say unto you, that from that day, even the fourth generation shall not all pass away before this great iniquity shall come. (Alma 45:11-12)

Clearly the Lord is talking about “victimless crimes” here. Just what do people think the term “lasciviousness” means?

  1. Mark N says:

Lucifer’s plan was to eliminate our agency and our opportunity to choose between right and wrong.

When you legislate a certain punishment for certain actions (the smoking of marijuana, for example), are you not committing a crime not dissimilar to that which Lucifer proposed “in the beginning” by attempting to limit the agency of others?

Should the keeping of a library book one day longer than the official “loan” time be made a crime? If not, why not? How is that different from altering the rate of flow of one’s shower head? A resource (the library book) is being hogged by the borrower, making that resource unavailable to others. There is already a fine attached to keeping a book longer than the normal period of time, but why shouldn’t we make this a crime punishable by death?

    Jonah, you assume too much…

First of all I said “IF”. “IF the spirit dictates”. “IF” refers to a future action.

Second. I never claimed “the Lord told me” to consume anything.

Third. Why do you ASSUME that I refer to pot? The government has been banning all sorts of herbs lately. If I remember correctly the Lord (in the WoW and the creation story) has told us that herbs are good for us. Should we listen to the Lord or the government?

Forth. According to 1 Nephi 4:10 “And it came to pass that I was constrained by the Spirit that I should kill Laban;…” – there were no Angels with flaming swords.

Fifth. You didn’t address Daniel or latter-day polygomy. Are we to follow the Lord (and His promptings) or are we to follow man?

Sixth. I chose to converse the earth’s resoures in a different manner. Who are you (or the government) to tell me how to use the resources that I own?

    Seventh. Does that beam hurt?

And finally… Seems both of us have broken a new federal law that makes it a crime to anonymously post annoying material. Your posts annoy me, you are posting anonymously, therefore you are breaking the law.

  3. Jonah the giant whale says:

A flaming angle with a sword commanded Nephi to kill Laban.

Did a flaming angle with a sword command you to use Pot so you can get high and act like an idiot?

As for the shower, you’re hurting all of us, the entire planet with your disregard of water conservation efforts.

Like many MEN of the world you are claiming the spirit to account for your illegal, and anti-social behavior. You say “the lord told you” when the lord really didn’t. You use that excuse to salv your own concience and do things you know are wrong. I feel very sorry for you. I hope that one day you wake up and repent and realize the error of your ways.

Did the spirit prompt Nephi to kill Laban? (Or was it Nephi’s desire to kill Laban?).

Did the spirit prompt Daniel (of the lion’s den fame) to continue to pray (openly) to God, breaking the law of the land?

Did the spirit prompt the Latter-Day prophets to ignore the laws of the land and continue polygomy?

For me, the spirit always beats “the law” (and I beg the Lord I’m following the correct spirit).

Another victimless crime: I’ve modified my showerhead to output more than the federal government proscribed 2.5 Gallons/minute. Technically I’ve performed a crime, but who is the victim?

  5. Jonah the giant whale says:

You would be incorectly confusing the spirit with your own desires.

The spirit would not prompt you to break the law. The lord has said several times to follow the laws of men.

  6. Anonymous says:

So if the spirit dictates to me to self-medicate with a certain herb that is currently “against the law”, but for centuries has been legal then there is somehow a “victim”?

    Who is this victim?

How does this activity lead to child abuse, murder, etc?
