There is a fascinating thread over at Latter-day Saint Liberation Front on the meaning of the term “salvation.” What would you say if a nonmember were to ask you, “Are you saved?” Well, that depends entirely on what you mean by saved. There seems to be a lot of confusion even among Latter-day Saints who are knowledgeable about gospel doctrine on what is meant in scripture by salvation. I confess to being somewhat confused myself, and Church doctrine has almost been a gospel hobby for me throughout the forty-three years I have been a convert to the Church from Protestantism. I think that Mormons are confused about how to use the term “salvation.” I wish we could get more instruction from our prophet-leaders on this matter. I don’t think it is right for this kind of confusion to exist among us on a topic that is so central to our understanding of the gospel. How can we understand the Plan of Salvation if we don’t even know what the term “salvation” means?
What exactly did the Savior mean when he taught the ancient Nephites:
33 And whoso believeth in me, and is baptized, the same shall be saved; and they are they who shall inherit the kingdom of God.34 And whoso believeth not in me, and is not baptized, shall be damned.(3 Ne. 11:33-34)
It is important for us to understand how the Savior uses the term “saved” in this passage because he declares that it is the root or core of all his teachings, and that anyone who teaches more or less than this “the same cometh from evil.” (3 Ne. 11:40)

I think Christ has sead some other things as well:
D&C 76: 88
88 And also the telestial receive [His fulness] of the administering of angels who are appointed to minister for them, or who are appointed to be aministering spirits for them; for they shall be heirs of salvation.

I would say “yes”. But that is mostly because I am bi-lingual — I speak Mormon and a little non-Mormon too. The same question means something different coming from a Mormon than it does coming from other Christians.
